Claire Hall

What an amazing year 2016 has been for Claire Hall. Having taken part in her first ever triathalon in 2015 and won the ladies category she went on to become a member of Dunmow tri in May 2015. This year her first event was Walden Tri a sprint distance pool swim race on May 1st. She was placed 1st in her age category & 2nd female overall. She went on to do Sudbury Tri a pool based sprint race on 19th June. Her time was 1hr 10mins and 41 seconds and she was first female.

Gosfield lake Tri was her first ever open water triathlon. She completed in the sprint distance race at this event and was placed 1st female vet, 2nd female overall. Maldon Tri was another open water event this time in tidal water. Her time was 1hr 34mins and she was placed 1st female.

She is rounding off the season with a couple of duathlon events. Two weeks ago she competed in Great Notley Duathlon and completed the event in a time of 1hr and 12mins 37secs and was placed 1st female vet, 2nd female overall. Her season culminated this weekend 16th October when she completed in the Bedford ETU Sprint Distance Duathlon Qualifier which is a qualifying event to represent Britain as an Age Group Triathalete. Claire came 3rd in her age category in a total time of 1:07:01. It has now been confirmed that she has qualified to represent her age group for Great Britain in an international Duathlon event in Spain next year.
